Assault on Odesa Region: New Threats from Occupants

On the night of June 8, 2025, Russian occupying forces launched an attack on the Odesa region with the anti-ship missile «Onyx» and targeted Mykolaiv with two guided X-59 missiles.

This was reported by the Air Command «South».

At the beginning of the second hour of the night, an air alert was triggered in Odesa and the surrounding area. Monitoring Telegram channels indicated that an enemy Su aircraft released a missile, likely aimed at Chabanivka, where two explosions were heard shortly after.

Later, there were reports of two more missiles being launched by Russians towards Pivdenne and Chabanivka, but soon these targets disappeared from radar, and after an all-clear at 1:33, no further air alerts were issued in the region.

The «South» command also reported that during the night, Ukraine's air defense successfully neutralized 13 enemy strike drones of the Shahed type and other UAVs.
