Investigation into Misconduct at Odessa Airport
An inquiry into the misconduct of the head of Odessa airport, impacting public interests.
During an extraordinary session of the Odesa City Council, a decision was made to allocate funding for the Department of Municipal Economy to conduct technical inspections and urgent emergency works in residential buildings that were affected by enemy attacks.
Specifically, this concerns the building at 3 Oleksandr Kutuzakiy Street, where the structure from the 5th to the 8th floors was completely destroyed due to strikes, along with damaged load-bearing walls, staircases, and ceilings.
Preliminary conclusions from experts at the Odesa State Academy of Construction and Architecture indicate that part of the building is classified as emergency. All residents have been evacuated, and they were offered temporary accommodation with relatives, friends, or in municipal facilities.
The building is being guarded around the clock to prevent accidents and property loss.
Funding has also been allocated for the restoration of other affected facilities.
“We are trying to act as quickly as possible, within all procedures outlined by law. We are in constant contact with the affected families and doing everything to provide timely assistance. I thank the deputies for their swift response and support of this important decision,” said Odesa Mayor Hennadiy Trukhanov.
The decision was made unanimously.
