This article discusses the aftermath of the drone attack on the city and the efforts made by various organizations to assist the victims.
Struggling to connect with those who have combat experience?
Discover practical advice for respectful and appropriate interactions through an interactive simulator developed for the educational series «People with War Experience. Dignity. Interaction».
For example:
* you wake up in the middle of the night as your partner, returning from the front lines, suddenly jolts you. He is unaware he is home and continues to «fight» as if still dreaming. What should you do next?
* at work, a veteran colleague begins to joke about grim subjects like death, injuries, and war. How should you respond?
The simulator provides several action options along with expert explanations to help you understand how your behavior can affect your interaction with someone who has war experience.
Remember that each person's experience is unique and requires a tailored approach. If you are unsure of how to act, be sincere, tolerant, and don't hesitate to ask questions.
For more information on how to interact appropriately with veterans, check out the educational series «People with War Experience. Dignity. Interaction», available on the Diia.Education platform and the «How Are You?» YouTube channel.
This educational series was initiated by the Ministry of Digital Transformation as part of the communication campaign «How Are You?» of the nationwide mental health program spearheaded by First Lady Olena Zelenska. The project is a continuation of the section «Barrier-Free Guide» — a guide for proper communication — and is implemented with the support of the Coordination Center for Mental Health under the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, the NGO «Barrier-Free», and Visa, a participant in the «Business Without Barriers» community.
