Young Talents of Ukraine at National Olympiads

From March 24 to 28, Chernivtsi hosted the brightest young philologists and linguists of Ukraine during the IV stage of the All-Ukrainian Olympiad in Ukrainian language and literature for students in grades 8-11.

In the challenging intellectual competition involving 136 participants from 24 regions, the winner was Anastasia Didik, an 11th-grade student from Odesa Lyceum No. 38 (teacher Olena Masyutina).

Anastasia showcased not only thorough knowledge of the subjects but also creative thinking, analytical skills, a creative approach, and a deep love for the native Ukrainian language.

From March 31 to April 4, Chernivtsi hosted the IV stage of the All-Ukrainian Student Olympiad in Geography, with around 150 participants from all regions of Ukraine. The competition took place in two rounds: theoretical and practical.

The prize winners included:
- Kateryna Sulima, a 9th-grade student from Odesa Lyceum No. 117 (teacher Serhiy Shulevskyi);
- Artem Pastoshchuk, an 11th-grade student from Odesa Lyceum No. 9 (teacher Svitlana Yastremska).

Ksenia Huivan, a 10th-grade student from the Odesa Lyceum “Maryinsky,” received a participant diploma and invaluable experience for future successes.

Artem Pastoshchuk also received a special award at the Olympiad for the best presentation on the topic “The Phenomenon of Urban Heat Islands.”

Additionally, winners were determined for the IV stage of the All-Ukrainian Student Olympiad in Biology, which saw participation from over 170 students in grades 8-11 from all regions of Ukraine and Kyiv. The closing ceremony took place in Lviv region.

Anna Vidova, an 8th-grade student from Odesa Lyceum No. 117 (teacher Liudmyla Ihnatieva), was awarded a second-degree diploma.
