The President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, has declared a new «Easter ceasefire».

According to his statement, all military actions will be halted from 6 PM on April 19 until midnight on April 21.

This announcement comes amid ongoing tensions, with a demand to «stop all military actions».

Putin stated: «During this period, we will cease all military actions. We expect the Ukrainian side to follow our example».

However, he also emphasized that Russian troops «must be prepared to respond to any ceasefire violations or provocations».

As of 5:30 PM, the Ukrainian authorities have not commented on Russia's initiative.
