It is noted that 26 specialists worked on restoring the energy infrastructure damaged by shelling. The teams arrived in Kherson in mid-March.
“The frontline was only 3 to 10 kilometers away from where we were working. Energy workers had to operate in bulletproof vests and helmets due to the extreme danger posed by continuous enemy shelling,” the report states.
The specialists managed to connect three high-voltage lines and a substation to provide power primarily to water supply facilities, DTEK informs.

On the morning of April 1, 2025, an energy facility in the city was again damaged, leaving 45,000 subscribers without electricity.
On March 27, Russian troops struck energy infrastructure in Kherson and Poltava, violating ceasefire agreements. The Kremlin had earlier agreed to halt attacks on energy facilities, but these strikes indicate a breakdown of those agreements.
