Funding Allocated for Repair of Damaged Buildings in Odesa
Odesa City Council has allocated funds for technical inspections and repairs of buildings damaged by attacks.
As a result of a drone attack on the night of June 20, significant cultural sites in Odesa were affected.
This was reported by the Ministry of Culture and Strategic Communications of Ukraine.
A notable architectural monument, a residential complex located at 4 Seminar Street, built between 1912 and 1913 by architect Y.M. Ponomarenko, suffered extensive damage from a fire caused by a drone strike.
Additionally, the historic building of an early 20th-century brewery on French Boulevard was also damaged, with the explosion shattering windows and doors.
Russian strikes continue to obliterate the historical memory of Ukrainian cities, their cultural identity, and architectural heritage.
We are documenting all instances of crimes against cultural heritage for future international investigations and accountability of the aggressor.
