Revitalization of the Fountain in Istanbul Park, Odessa
The renovation of the fountain in Istanbul Park has commenced and is expected to be completed by October 2025.
President Volodymyr Zelensky addressed the people from Independence Square, highlighting the significance of this place as a symbol of our nation's independence.
In his speech for Independence Day, he stated: “We are building a Ukraine that will have the strength to live in peace and security. May our children celebrate this day on their land, under their flags, in peace and tranquility, with confidence in the future.” Zelensky expressed gratitude to all those who defended Ukraine in this war.
The President emphasized that Ukraine will no longer be subjected to shame and pressure that the 'Russians' try to impose. “We need a fair peace, and it is only up to us to decide what our future will look like,” he stressed.
Zelensky also mentioned that just a week ago he represented Ukraine in the United States, where he was heard and understood. “Today the world acknowledges: Ukraine has not lost, it is fighting for its independence, becoming a strong ally,” he added.
The President assured that Ukraine will achieve a sustainable peace, reinforced by security guarantees that will deter anyone from even contemplating aggression against our nation. “This is our goal, and we must pass down to our children and grandchildren a strong, independent, and European Ukraine,” he concluded.
Let us remind you that on August 24, Ukraine celebrates the 34th anniversary of its independence proclamation, which took place on August 24, 1991, when the Supreme Council of the Ukrainian SSR adopted the Act of Proclamation of Independence of Ukraine.
