Large-Scale Prisoner Exchange: Ukrainians Returning Home

Over several stages of a prisoner exchange, hundreds of Ukrainians have returned home, including soldiers and civilians affected by the ongoing war.

This was shared by the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, on his social media.

«We have successfully completed multiple stages of exchange. Since June, hundreds of our people have come back home. This includes young individuals, defenders of Mariupol, and those who held the line in various regions of Ukraine. Among them are also the wounded and seriously ill. Many were previously listed as missing», — emphasized Zelensky.

According to him, most of those freed had been held captive since 2022. The group includes not only military personnel but also civilians who became caught in the conflict.

The President highlighted that this achievement is the result of a coordinated effort by a team that works daily to secure the release of every Ukrainian.

«We will continue our efforts until every single person is returned,» he concluded.
