On July 1, 2025, an inclusive beach was officially opened at the 11th station of the Great Fountain in Odessa. This initiative marks a significant step towards creating a barrier-free environment for residents and visitors alike.

The inclusive beach exemplifies how spaces can be transformed to accommodate people with diverse needs. This was highlighted by Tatiana Lomakina, the President of Ukraine's Advisor on Barrier-Free Issues, during her visit to Odessa. She commended the city's efforts in establishing this beach, which complies with all accessibility standards.

“Step by step, we are moving towards a barrier-free coastline. The beach is rarely empty; it attracts both locals and visitors,” emphasized Tatiana Lomakina.
