On the night of September 6 to 7, a drone attack struck Odessa. The Botanical Garden of the Odessa National University named after I.I. Mechnikov was affected. The greenhouses and rare plants within the garden sustained damage.

“Friends, we are in trouble. Today there was an attack. The greenhouses have been damaged. We will need help. We must collect the glass and save the surviving plants,” wrote the garden's director, Lyudmyla Levchuk, on her page.
