Return of Deceased Ukrainian Soldiers

On October 23, an important event took place in Ukraine – the return of 1000 bodies that, according to Russian sources, belong to Ukrainian servicemen. The Coordinating Staff for the Handling of Prisoners of War reported this.
Investigators and experts from the Ministry of Internal Affairs will conduct all necessary examinations and identify the repatriated bodies in the coming days.
The repatriation process involved the Coordinating Staff, the Joint Center of the Security Service, the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Office of the Commissioner for Human Rights, and other security and defense organizations.
The Coordinating Staff also expressed gratitude to the International Committee of the Red Cross for their assistance.
The Armed Forces are responsible for transporting the repatriated bodies to state specialized institutions and organizing the transfer of the deceased to law enforcement officials and forensic experts within the Ministry of Health system.
