Traffic Restrictions in Odesa During Cycling Events
Traffic will be modified in Odesa on August 30 and 31 due to cycling races.
The Odessa Church has transformed into a venue for a new exhibition featuring paintings, posters, and art objects titled «Blood and Life».
This exhibition, which creatively reinterprets the importance of blood donation through artistic imagery, was developed in collaboration with the «Donor Odessa» project by faculty and students of the South Ukrainian National Pedagogical University.
The theme of helping others and saving lives through blood donation resonates deeply with Christian values.
Above the altar, a mural depicting a large red spot symbolizes the blood of Jesus Christ, uniting all who come to worship.
«In blood donation, people exchange blood regardless of nationality or faith. If we believe in one God, everything else that divides us should take a back seat. Today, we aim to showcase our unity and willingness to help one another,» emphasized Pastor Alexander Gross during the opening.
During the opening, students and faculty who significantly contributed to the exhibition were also recognized.
Honored artists Dmitry Velichko, Anna Nosenko, Natalia Loza, Yanina Tverdokhlebova, and others collaborated with young artists to create over 40 works showcasing the beauty of blood donation.
This is the first exhibition in Ukraine featuring 3D art objects on the topic of blood donation.
The exhibition will be open for visits for the next month.
Address: Novoselskogo St., 68, Church.
Entry is free.
