Efforts in HIV Fight: Odesa's Municipal Initiative
Odesa's city council continues to provide medical services in the fight against HIV and tuberculosis amid war.
In Odessa, preparations for the New Year and Christmas celebrations are in full swing. Recently, the installation of the main Christmas tree began on Deribasivska Street.
The height of this tree is 20 meters, and its width is 9 meters. At the top, a traditional Christmas star will be placed. This year, the main Christmas tree will be adorned with elements of Ukrainian folk art and blue-yellow ribbons.
The official opening is scheduled for December 6, St. Nicholas Day.
«On St. Nicholas Day, the main Christmas tree of Odessa will be inaugurated alongside a festive concert organized by the Department of Culture. Guests will enjoy performances by the Odessa Municipal Brass Band and talented children from local creative institutions. Additionally, festive events will take place in various municipal establishments throughout the New Year and Christmas period», - stated Ivan Liptuga, the head of the Department of Culture.
Due to martial law and curfew, mass street celebrations on New Year's Eve are not planned.
