The Ukrainian Veterans Fund, recruitment platform Lobby X, and IT company SoftServe are excited to announce the launch of a free course titled 'DevOps Fundamentals' for veterans, military personnel, their families, and the families of fallen defenders.

The course curriculum includes:

- basics of Git/GitHub;

- Linux: file system structure and basic administration tasks;

- scripting languages Bash and PowerShell;

- networking concepts: protocols, IP addressing, subnetting;

- working with popular CI/CD tools: Jenkins, GitHub Actions;

- cloud providers IaaS, PaaS;

- working with AWS, Azure, and GCP services;

- artifacts in DevOps and their role in development;

- soft skills essential for the IT industry;

- job search tips, resume preparation, etc.

The knowledge gained during the course will empower participants to grasp the foundations of DevOps, work with databases, set up their working environment, and optimize project deployment processes. This will enable future DevOps specialists to implement changes and automate processes more effectively at every stage of development.

Classes will be held twice a week, on Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, via Zoom. Experienced mentors will introduce theoretical foundations, along with practical assignments and homework reviews.

Recorded lectures will be available for those unable to join online.

The course starts on February 3rd and lasts for 9 weeks.

Requirements for participation:

a laptop (computer), internet access, and time for completing assignments.

Participants who successfully complete the course will receive a certificate.

Registration is open until January 29th (inclusive), and you can fill out the form.

Spaces are limited, so after registering, participants will need to complete a small test task on basic concepts and create a Discord account.
