The "Advancements in Digital Education: A New Era" conference was held at the Odesa Lyceum "European" during the Open Educational Forum #EducationOdesa – 2023.

The purpose of the conference was to familiarize educators and the community with modern digital solutions being used in educational institutions, including the application of ChatGPT and other innovative tools in teaching practices.

Over 200 participants joined the event: representatives from the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, the Ministry of Digital Transformation, the State Scientific Institution "Institute for Modernization of Educational Content", as well as stakeholders from educational establishments and NGOs interested in the adoption of digital technologies.

The conference was opened by Iryna Stolbova, Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Science of Odesa City Council, who outlined the key principles for integrating digital technologies in the educational process for the 2023/2024 academic year, emphasizing the importance of adhering to Ukrainian legislation when selecting digital products.

Discussion panels covered topics such as:

- Digitalization of education during wartime and post-war periods;

- Creation of a digital educational environment;

- Utilization of digital tools in educational institutions;

- Safe and modern educational spaces;

- Using ChatGPT in educational activities.

As a result of the conference, a resolution was adopted emphasizing the need to form a working group for the development and management of Ukraine's digital educational space. Recommendations were also made for developers of national educational software products to comply with state standards, Ukrainian legislation, data protection, and EU guidelines on forming electronic educational environments.

Conference organizers included the Department of Education and Science of Odesa City Council, the State Scientific Institution "Institute for Modernization of Educational Content", and various companies providing modern digital systems and tools.
