Celebration of Unity and Music in Odesa
A warm gathering in Odesa filled with music and unity, organized by KP 'Parks of Odesa' and the National Guard.
Andreas Bovenstuhle, the President of the Senate and Mayor of the Free Hanseatic City of Bremen, made his first visit to Ukraine, arriving in Odesa. This visit marked a significant moment in the relationship between our cities. Before starting the agenda, he honored the memory of heroes who lost their lives for Ukraine's independence.
Following this, the delegation visited the Nerubaysk Academic Lyceum, where new kitchen equipment was installed thanks to Bremen's support.
At the Odesa Regional Children's Clinical Hospital, Bovenstuhle met little Yesenia, who was born with the help of a ventilator donated by Bremen. This device continues to save the lives of newborns.
The Mayor also visited the Ukrainian Center for Rehabilitation of Mother and Child, where he learned about the new equipment and the results of renovation works funded by partners.
The delegation toured the historical center of Odesa, witnessing the devastation caused by military actions.
The visit concluded in Petrodolynske, where modular homes for displaced persons were set up with Bremen's assistance, and plans for a new clinic are underway.
This visit reaffirmed Bremen's solidarity with Odesa, and we look forward to continuing our fruitful cooperation.
