Odessa residents are advised to be alert regarding any unauthorized interference in the utility systems of their homes. 

Recently, the staff of the utility company «JKS «Cheryomushki» responded to a request from residents of the building located at Heryaniyeva St., 10 regarding the need to drain water from the heating riser for the installation of new radiators. 

During the inspection, it was discovered that the lock on the basement door had been illegally replaced by representatives of the company «Service Plus».

This company does not service the specified building, which hindered the utility workers' access to the basement. 

At the same time, according to the Act of readiness of the building for the heating season, signed with the KP «Heat Supply of the City of Odessa», the staff of the «JKS «Cheryomushki» should have unrestricted access to this area. 

The building is serviced by the «JKS» utility company, as confirmed by the relevant contract. To carry out urgent work at the site, the utility workers had to remove the old lock, install a new one, and complete all necessary tasks. 

«The request has been processed, the radiators have been replaced, and the entire system is operational. The object is ready for the heating season 2024-2025,» stated Alexander Musafir, head of district №2 of the «JKS «Cheryomushki». 

This is not the first incident where employees of managing companies that previously serviced buildings take unauthorized actions regarding the housing stock.
