Rebuilding After the Attack: New Developments in Odessa

The mayor of Odessa held an on-site meeting to discuss the status of restoration work on a building, part of which was destroyed due to a Russian attack on March 2.

«Everyone who applied through the eRecovery program has received compensation for repairs or a certificate for purchasing new housing. Although progress is slower than desired due to lengthy construction processes, I am grateful to our partners - public and charitable organizations», stated Gennady Trukhanov.

The mayor expressed gratitude to charities such as "Reach for the Sky", "Morning of Revival", and other organizations for their ongoing support.

The restoration work is being carried out by the managing company "Clever" with the support and coordination of the advisor to the Odessa mayor on humanitarian issues, Veronika Etnarovich.

Currently, tons of debris have been removed from the apartments. The roof above the last entrance and the entrance itself from the first to the ninth floor has been repaired.

Additionally, landscaping has been completed in the area near the impact site, where people continue to bring flowers. On March 2, 2024, as a result of the Russian attack, 12 people lost their lives, including five children.
