Odessa Region: A Leader in Higher Education Applications
The Odessa region ranks third in Ukraine for the number of applications to higher education institutions, reflecting the enthusiasm of applicants.
In Odessa, the upgrading of municipal parks with new special equipment is ongoing. This year, the Municipal Enterprise 'City Roads' has acquired four new PRONAR SPT40 sand spreaders.
This equipment is designed for treating the city’s street network with various reagents during winter and is compatible with trucks that have a carrying capacity of over 10 tons.
The new PRONAR SPT40 sand spreaders feature a capacity control system that enhances processing efficiency. Monitoring and managing operational parameters as well as activating brine solutions are performed from within the vehicle’s cabin using a display panel.
The sand spreaders are powered by a two-cylinder air-cooled diesel engine and can be started remotely.
The distribution system components are made of stainless steel, ensuring a long lifespan in highly corrosive environments.
Compared to outdated equipment, the new machines allow for adjusting spreading density, changing application programs, have a wider spreading range, and feature a stainless steel spreading disc.
Overall, the enterprise has 61 units of winter maintenance equipment, including the new additions.
Most of the winter maintenance equipment has been in use for over 10 years, while the recommended lifespan for such machinery is 5 years.
Experts from the municipal enterprise maintain the satisfactory technical condition of the equipment independently. Currently, they are configuring the new equipment for winter operations.
