On September 2, Leonid Viktorovych Liptuga passed away — a distinguished figure in Ukrainian culture, a leading researcher at the Odessa Literary Museum, and the creator of unique projects such as the «Garden of Sculptures» and «Odessa Yard».
This was reported by the Department of International Cooperation, Culture, and Marketing of the Odessa City Council.

The department noted that Leonid Liptuga devoted his entire life, efforts, and creative energy to Odessa, its culture, history, the Literary Museum, and the residents of the city.

«His bright memory will forever remain in the hearts of his relatives, friends, and colleagues. We express our sincere condolences to the director of the Odessa Literary Museum, Tetiana Liptuga, the director of the Department of International Cooperation, Culture, and Marketing of the Odessa City Council, Ivan Liptuga, the museum staff, and his family and loved ones,» the statement reads.

Note: “Garden of Sculptures”  – an outdoor exhibition established in 1995. Until 2014, a new sculpture was unveiled at each «Humorina» event. The exhibition “Odessa Yard”, which continues from the “Garden of Sculptures”, recreates a typical Odessa courtyard with all its attributes.
