Youth Forum of Odesa: New Perspectives for 2025-2028
A discussion on the future of Odesa's youth at the forum held on July 21.
Today, December 5, 2024, Odesa hosted a conference titled «Accessibility in Tourism».
The primary goal of the event was to unite city authorities and business representatives to collaboratively enhance the accessibility of tourism services.
This issue has been identified as a key priority by the National Tourism Organization of Ukraine for 2024.
Despite the challenges posed by wartime conditions, Odesa continues to welcome both domestic and international tourists, making it essential to focus on infrastructure accessibility.
The conference brought together individuals with disabilities, government officials, and business leaders to discuss the accessibility of cultural and tourist sites. Medical tourism was also on the agenda.
«Today, we are creating conditions that allow every resident and visitor to freely move around and access necessary services. Hotels, restaurants, museums, and transport must be adapted for individuals with disabilities,» stated Odesa's mayor, Hennadiy Trukhanov.
Moreover, during the discussions, conference participants addressed the current state, future plans, grant programs, and the involvement of business sectors in developing an accessible environment in Odesa.
