Energy Situation in Ukraine: Denial of Power Outage Rumors

The company "Ukrenergo" has denied rumors regarding the resumption of power outages.

This information was confirmed by the company's press service.

"In recent days, some media outlets and Telegram channels have begun to spread news with sensational headlines about the potential return of power outages. It is important to note that this information is false. Currently, no restrictions are being implemented", – the statement reads.

However, as the company pointed out, there is a real need for rational energy consumption due to ongoing repairs at energy facilities following Russian attacks. Additionally, with the drop in temperatures across Ukraine, electricity consumption has significantly increased as many consumers are using fireplaces, heaters, and air conditioners.

Moreover, the end of the heating season has led to some generation facilities that cannot produce electricity independently shutting down.

Furthermore, the cloudy weather in parts of Ukraine complicates the situation, reducing the efficiency of solar power stations.

Therefore, "Ukrenergo" urges the public to reduce the use of high-power electrical appliances and avoid turning on multiple devices simultaneously from 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM.

Reminder:

In Ukraine, as of the morning of April 7, due to a significant drop in temperature, electricity consumption exceeded the level of the previous working day by 16%.

On April 8, electricity consumption remained high. As of 9:30 AM, the consumption level was 2.3% higher than at the same time the previous day.
