Honoring the Unique Contribution of Lyubov Panchenko to Art

On World Art Day, April 15, a ceremonial presentation of the new commemorative coin ‘The World of Couture Art: Lyubov Panchenko’ took place, dedicated to the remarkable Ukrainian artist and designer who became a symbol of the sixties generation.

This was reported by the National Bank of Ukraine.

The commemorative coin ‘The World of Couture Art: Lyubov Panchenko’ has a nominal value of 10 hryvnias. It is made of 925 silver, with a minting quality of ‘special uncirculated’, a weight of pure precious metal – 31.1 g, and a diameter of 38.6 mm. The edge of the coin is smooth with incised inscriptions indicating the metal, its standard, and the logo of the Banknote and Minting Factory.

The obverse of the coin features a stylized portrait of Lyubov Panchenko, framed by elements of her famous work ‘Bucha Spring’.

The artist's gaze, filled with creative energy and freedom, seems to penetrate through time and space, symbolizing strength and dedication to ideals. This composition emphasizes the close connection of the artist with her homeland.

‘Bucha Spring’ is not just a painting; it is a manifesto of beauty and resilience, as it was in Bucha where the artist was born and lived. This image has forever been etched in the memory of the city and in the hearts of admirers of the artist's talent, becoming a symbol of faith in rebirth.
