As part of the initiative «Donor Odesa», servicemen of the Marine Guard of Ukraine organized a collective blood donation event.

The collaborative efforts of the military and volunteers aim to save numerous lives. This is particularly critical during the ongoing war, where the demand for blood donations remains high.

«We understand the importance of having sufficient blood reserves. In wartime, this is an invaluable resource that can save the lives of our comrades, injured civilians, and anyone in need of urgent assistance,» said the border guards who participated in replenishing the city's blood bank.

This is not the first time military personnel have engaged in such initiatives, and they believe that support should be ongoing, not one-off.

Today, blood donation serves as another line of defense for Ukraine.

The event took place as part of the charitable project «Weeks of Good Deeds».

The project «Donor Odesa» has been actively recruiting blood donors for the city's medical facilities since the beginning of the full-scale war, as well as organizing educational and cultural events aimed at promoting donation. Thanks to this project, over 12,000 blood donations have been made, saving thousands of lives.
