Revitalization of Apartment Building in Odesa: New Developments
In Odesa, restoration efforts have begun on a multi-apartment building at 54 Pasteur Street following a missile strike.
The charitable organizations "Happy Paw" and "Kovcheg-Odessa" invite everyone to an open day taking place on May 4th at the shelter. The event aims to raise awareness about animal adoption, so more homeless cats and dogs can find their new families.
Currently, the "Kovcheg-Odessa" shelter cares for over 800 animals. The organizers note that each new resident adds a burden on the staff and the existing animals, due to the risk of disease and food shortages.
"Open Day is a wonderful opportunity for families to spend time together, especially for those who have long dreamed of adopting a pet but don't know how to help. You can support homeless animals not just financially, but also with your time, efforts, and most importantly—attention," the organizers state.
During the event, there will be a shelter tour, guidelines on shelter etiquette, stories about the lives of local cats and dogs, and "cat-dog therapy". Additionally, attendees will have the chance to assist the shelter by cleaning, feeding, walking dogs, playing with cats, and more.
The open day will take place on May 4th at 12:00 PM at: 1st Sorting St., 22.
