Mayor of Odessa, Gennadiy Trukhanov, addressed the situation regarding the damaged building: "We will do everything possible to ensure residents return home as soon as possible."

Trukhanov held a meeting with residents of the building on Yaroslav the Wise Avenue, which was hit by a drone strike. The situation has been assessed by experts and the Technogenic-Ecological Safety Commission.

The building has been deemed unsafe, leading to recommendations for temporary relocation of residents. They are encouraged to utilize the city's housing rental compensation program.

"An extraordinary session of the Odessa City Council is scheduled for May 13, where legislators will decide on the funding for stabilizing the building. This will follow the technical report's review by the regional safety commission. We will do everything possible to help families return to their homes quickly," the mayor stated.
