Floral Season in Odessa: New Park Displays

The employees of the Municipal Enterprise «Miskzelentrest» have begun planting summer flowers in Istanbul Park. The decorative patterns covering an area of 500 square meters will consist of more than 30 thousand begonias.

At the start of the season, the team from «Miskzelentrest» tidied up the park area, repainting benches and trash bins and organizing the lawns.

This year, Odessa plans to plant 350 thousand summer flowers. The floral arrangements will traditionally include salvia, geraniums, begonias, petunias, ageratum, tagetes, and chlorophytum.

The first summer flowers have already partially adorned the Stock Exchange Square and the flowerbeds near the Primorsky District Administration, replacing the spring blooms. A total of 12 thousand summer flowers (petunias, begonias, and geraniums) will be planted in Stock Exchange Square, while the «Lyra» pattern in Theater Square will consist of 10 thousand begonias.

According to the Municipal Enterprise «Miskzelentrest», summer flowers will be planted in all city districts in place of the spring flowers that have already faded.
