Fire in Odesa: Extensive Damage and Environmental Impact

The damages from the fire that occurred in Odesa on June 25, 2025, are estimated at 22 million 148 thousand hryvnias!

According to the State Environmental Inspection of the Southwestern Region, the harmful CO2 emissions reached 7128 tons, severely impacting the environment.

In the Peresyp district of Odesa, dry vegetation caught fire. Due to weather conditions, the flames spread rapidly across three hotspots. An aerial reconnaissance was conducted using drones for better resource management, as there was a risk of the fire spreading to residential homes. Rescuers, along with the National Guard, local firefighters, and utility workers, swiftly localized the fire.

The fire was extinguished over an area of 10 hectares.

Fortunately, there were no casualties or injuries.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
