Restoration of Historical Doors in Odesa

In the heart of Odesa, at 12 Kinna Street, the specialists of the social project «A Thousand Doors of Odesa» successfully restored the original oak doors of the Lamzaki building.

This building was constructed in 1912 based on the design by architect Oleksandr Holtzvurm. This has been reported by the project «A Thousand Doors of Odesa».

What was specifically restored

During the restoration work, specialists removed multiple layers of old paint from the wooden doors, after which they treated them with modern finishes. Additionally, craftsmen restored missing elements, including kick plates, reveal strips, and the capital of the transom.

Alongside decorative restoration, the glass in the doors was replaced, significantly improving the lighting in the entrance. The doors now close with an automatic closer, and safety is ensured by a modern electronic locking system.
