Targeted Attack on Energy Infrastructure: A New Threat to Ukraine
A new attack on a compressor station in Ukraine poses significant risks to the country's energy security.
Environmental researchers have detected elevated levels of suspended substances and ammonium nitrogen in areas with significant algae blooms in the Black Sea.
This information was released by the press service of the State Ecological Inspection for the South-Western District.
Experts explain that the decomposition of algae along the coastal zone leads to exceeding permissible concentration levels near the beaches. To prevent further deterioration, the Inspection has sent a letter to the Odessa City Council demanding the cleaning of the shore from accumulated algae. Additionally, the Inspection has reached out to the Ukrainian Scientific Center for Marine Ecology and the State Consumer Service in the Odessa region requesting further studies on seawater. The checks will cover microbiological and sanitary-chemical parameters, along with hydrobiological and bacteriological analyses in areas where algae are heavily concentrated.
