Odesa is making significant strides in establishing a barrier-free environment and enhancing inclusive opportunities.

The city plans to improve the public beach «Otrada» for the rehabilitation and active leisure of veterans, children with disabilities, and other mobility-impaired groups.

Additionally, a base for developing adaptive rowing sports will be set up at the beach.

On August 27, during an extraordinary session of the Odesa City Council, the deputies supported the changes to the «Barrier-Free Odesa» program, increasing its funding by 1 million hryvnias.

The total funding for the program in 2025 is set at 189.5 million hryvnias.
