Since the beginning of 2025, the municipal enterprise «Miskzelentrest» in Odesa has conducted the removal and cleanup of 1522 hazardous trees and branches, including those damaged by severe weather.

The inventory of trees is carried out by the Department of Urban Economy in collaboration with the Department of Ecology. Based on the findings, «Miskzelentrest» undertakes the removal of hazardous trees and branches.

In general, tree removal work is performed in response to citizen requests, following adverse weather events, or as part of urban improvement programs.

Additionally, specialists are working on stump removal. Since the beginning of the year, 828 stumps have been removed, and young trees are already being planted in their place.

Stump removal is a challenging task. Until this year, municipal workers lacked the specialized equipment for stump removal, complicating and prolonging the process. Now, they utilize new equipment – the Rotor Speedy 80/100 stump grinder and the KATA KF1404 tractor with 140 horsepower, designed for timely and efficient stump removal.
With the new machinery, the time required for physically demanding work has been significantly reduced: previously, the manual stump removal process was scheduled for 12 hours, but now a stump with a diameter of 70 cm can be removed in just 40 minutes.
