Alternative Transport Solutions in Odesa During Blackout

As a result of hostile attacks, all electric substations in Odesa remain without power, leading to the suspension of tram and trolleybus services. This was reported by the press service of the Odesa City Council. To ensure transportation connectivity during the blackout, transport operators have been instructed to increase the number of buses on city routes and to organize social rides that mimic the work of electric transport. To enhance services on the busiest routes, social buses have been organized along three main tram lines. Specifically, in place of tram №1, buses have been launched from the railway station to 28th Brigade Street with a frequency of about 30–40 minutes. Social buses operating along tram №5 from the railway station to Arcadia via French Boulevard have an estimated interval of about one hour. Additionally, on the section from '11th station of the Big Fountain to 16th station of the Big Fountain', buses are running that duplicate the routes of trams №17 and №18 with intervals up to 60 minutes.

The provided social routes and list of buses only partially compensate for the suspension of electric transport, but they allow for the basic connectivity between key areas of the city to be maintained.
