Advancing Digital Healthcare in Odesa
Implementation of innovative digital solutions in Odesa's healthcare sector to enhance medical services.
In August 2025, a meeting of the Executive Committee of the Odesa City Council was held, where it was decided to conduct a competition for the best project proposal for a monument to Lesya Ukrainka and the improvement of the surrounding area.
The organizer of the competition was the Department of Architecture, Urban Planning, and Land Relations.
The main goal of the competition is to identify the best project idea that commemorates the outstanding Ukrainian writer and to propose solutions for the landscaping of the park area.
The competition was held in one round until January 30, 2026. Participation was open to professional architects, sculptors, designers, as well as students from architectural universities and project organizations. Teams could also include specialists from other fields with experience in monumental art.
Currently, the Department of Architecture has summarized the results of the competition.
A total of 12 project proposals were submitted.
The jury recommends the work that took first place for further development of project and cost documentation.
First place was awarded to the project proposal under the slogan No. 201953 (authors – sculptor Mykola Bylyk, architects Andriy Korstruba, Maria Matushenko, Oleksandr Vovk).
Second place went to the proposal under the slogan No. 704020 (authors – sculptors Viktor Lipovka, Oleksandra Ruban, architects Andriy Danilenko, Kateryna Lipovka).
Third place was awarded to the work under the slogan No. 250271 (authors – sculptor Anastasia Kozminska, architects Mykola Chepelev, Mykola Volkov).
According to the competition conditions, cash prizes will be awarded to the authors' teams.
The decision of the Odesa City Council established the location for the Lesya Ukrainka monument – in the park at the corner of Fountainska Road and Lesya Ukrainka Avenue.
