Revitalization of an Odesa Apartment Complex: Renovation Updates
Updates on the renovations of a nine-story apartment building in Odesa following damage.
On October 31, 2024, a city council meeting was held to address issues concerning internally displaced persons.
The meeting focused on supporting small and medium enterprises among the displaced.
Future entrepreneurs from among the internally displaced persons were provided with information about:
- the procedure for state registration of legal entities and individual entrepreneurs: key principles, required documents, and recommendations;
- the taxation system for business entities: options for small and micro businesses;
- business support lending programs from the bank "Ukreximbank";
- business support lending programs from the bank "Oschadbank";
- restoring and expanding opportunities through market access and sustainable economic transformations by the Charitable Foundation "Caritas Odessa UGCC";
- assistance for entrepreneurs in establishing and developing their businesses;
- support programs for business entities in the city of Odessa.
After the meeting, participants engaged with service providers who informed them about opportunities for obtaining grants, compensation for employment of IDPs, and provided contacts for future profitable business promotion.
Participants included representatives from the Department of Labor and Social Policy, the Department of Economic Development, the State Registration Office of the Legal Department of the Odessa City Council, the Main Department of the State Tax Service in the Odessa region, the Odessa branch of the Regional Employment Center, Ukreximbank, Oschadbank, the Business Support Center Diya. Business in Odessa, the Charitable Foundation "Caritas Odessa UGCC", and internally displaced persons.
