Compensation Updates for Ukrainian Families

As of November 10, 2023, a total of 145,226 families have received compensation amounting to 52.33 billion hryvnias. This information was shared by the Ministry of Community Development and Territories of Ukraine via Telegram.
Among these, over 116,500 families received 11.4 billion hryvnias for damaged housing. The compensation is divided into two categories: payments for minor damages (Category A) and capital repairs (Category B). The average compensation amounts are 70,800 hryvnias and 341,500 hryvnias respectively.
For destroyed housing, nearly 28,000 families have received housing certificates totaling 40 billion hryvnias. More than 18,600 families have already purchased new homes, including over 8,600 internally displaced persons, the ministry reports.
Payments are also ongoing for reconstruction on personal plots, which started at the beginning of this year. The first tranche was received by 704 families totaling 850.2 million hryvnias, and 63 families have already received funds from the second tranche amounting to 81.1 million hryvnias.
"The state compensation program 'Restoration' has been actively operating for over two years, providing Ukrainians with financial assistance for repairs of housing damaged due to Russian aggression or for purchasing new homes to replace those destroyed," the ministry emphasizes.
