Kyivstar Gains Approval to Acquire Tabletki.ua

The Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine has finally granted PrAT "Kyivstar" permission to acquire control over the owner of the Tabletki.ua service, LLC "MTPC".
The decision was made on January 29, 2026.
It is worth noting that in 2022, "Kyivstar" acquired a controlling stake in the digital healthcare platform Helsi and increased its share from 69.99% to 97.99% in May 2025.

In early 2025, news broke about "Kyivstar's" attempts to buy the Tabletki.ua service. According to the AMC, "Kyivstar" submitted an application to acquire the online booking service for medications in November 2024, but the regulator did not approve it. In February 2025, "Kyivstar" approached the AMC again with a revised application.

In August 2025, the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine indicated that if the online platforms Helsi and Tabletki.ua were to merge, the combined market shares could exceed 35%, potentially leading to monopolization. However, on January 29, 2026, the regulator finally allowed "Kyivstar" to acquire the owner of Tabletki.ua.

Note: Tabletki.ua is an online platform where users can find and reserve medications at specific pharmacies. Founded in 2010, the service currently has nearly 10 million users. In 2015, the introduction of a reservation feature significantly boosted the company's growth. It now collaborates with 12,000 pharmacies nationwide, accounting for about 70% of the pharmaceutical retail market in Ukraine.

According to Forbes Ukraine's analysis, the value of the Tabletki.ua service could reach $30-80 million, reflecting the high profitability of the business. In the first nine months of 2024, the revenue of LLC "MTPC" amounted to 517 million UAH, which is 88% higher than in the same period in 2023.

Lastly, it was reported last week that "Kyivstar" was planning to acquire a stake in COMFY, the largest electronics and appliance retail chain in Ukraine. However, sources indicate that this deal is unlikely to proceed.
