New Mental Health Center Opens in Odessa

A new Mental Health Center has been established in Odessa, offering accessible and comprehensive psychological support for the city's residents.

The Center began its operations last year as part of the outpatient rehabilitation department, and has functioned as a separate entity since 2025. Psychological support remains a crucial part of both outpatient and inpatient rehabilitation programs.

The team includes specialists from various fields, such as psychiatrists, psychotherapists, and clinical psychologists, ensuring a holistic approach to patient care.

If necessary, health care chaplains and social workers are involved, broadening the spectrum of mental health and crisis assistance.

The Center specializes in providing counseling to individuals affected by war, including Ukraine's defenders and veterans, while also conducting awareness-raising activities regarding mental health.

Group and individual mental health sessions, along with training for medical staff on ethical communication and burnout prevention, are organized at the Center.

The work of the Mental Health Center demonstrates a successful example of integrating psychosocial support within the healthcare system.

Referrals to the Center are made by psychiatrists or family doctors.

Contact number for the Center: (048) 705 91 03.
