On May 20, 2025, Odessa hosted an international conference titled «International Conference on Autism», bringing together leading experts from the UK, Germany, the USA, and Ukraine. 

The event focused on pressing issues related to autism spectrum disorders (ASD) and innovative ways to support social adaptation for children with special educational needs. 

Conference participants exchanged experiences, discussed modern approaches to rehabilitation and support for children with autism, and forged new professional partnerships aimed at creating an inclusive society. 

The Odessa City Council is already implementing several initiatives to support individuals with ASD and their families. However, the demand for such services is increasing, making it essential for the city to continuously improve the support system and broaden the range of assistance offered. 

During the event, honorary certificates and awards were presented on behalf of the Mayor of Odessa to professionals working daily in the field of social adaptation and rehabilitation of children with autism.
