Under the supervision of the  Odesa Regional Prosecutor's Office, five residents of the Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi district have been charged with sabotage, intentional damage to energy facilities, and property of others (Part 2 of Article 113, Part 2 of Article 194-1, Part 2 of Article 194 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

According to the investigation, the suspects received orders from a Russian security service agent to carry out sabotage for monetary reward on facilities of Ukrainian Railways and strategically important enterprises in the Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi area.

For several months, they organized arson of relay cabinets, transformer substations, and buildings of local authorities.

The arson was conducted at night using flammable materials, specialized equipment to open cabinets, and pre-arranged transport for quick movement between locations.

To confirm the execution of tasks to their curators, the suspects recorded their actions on video.

Currently, all five have been placed in custody without the right to bail.

The pre-trial investigation is being carried out by the Security Service of Ukraine in the Odesa region.
