Officers from the strategic investigations department in the Odessa region, in collaboration with investigators from the regional police, apprehended the individual who demanded $10,000 in exchange for help in illegally transporting a soldier from his unit. The officer, working at the recruitment center, conspired with unknown individuals to facilitate the soldier's escape from military service. Following extensive operational measures, the police detained him while receiving the specified funds. The suspect has been charged under part 3 of Article 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. He faces up to ten years in prison with the possibility of being banned from holding certain positions for three years. A decision regarding the preventive measure is currently being made. The investigation continues under the supervision of the Odessa specialized prosecutor's office, with efforts to identify all involved parties ongoing.
