Law enforcement agencies continue to engage actively with the youth, emphasizing the importance of adhering to safety rules both in everyday life and online. In the Podilskyi district of Odesa region, a series of educational events were carried out in recreational areas. Those spending time near water bodies were reminded that swimming is only allowed in designated areas, diving can be dangerous, it is important not to neglect safety gear, and to remain vigilant for oneself and their loved ones.

For those who enjoy walks in parks, reminders about public behavior were given. They were urged not to litter, not to damage property, not to disturb other visitors, and to avoid using foul language. Special attention was paid to traffic rules. Together with cyclists and pedestrians, police reiterated the basic safety requirements – crossing roads only at designated points, being careful near intersections, and using reflective elements in the dark. The topic of digital safety was also addressed. Officers urged young people to be cautious online: do not share personal information, do not trust strangers, and report unacceptable proposals to their parents, such as setting fire to someone else's property or filming violent content.

“Our task is to warn and protect children from troubles. I also want to remind parents that they are responsible for their children's behavior. Teach them to rest safely and courteously, and show this by your own example,” noted Ruslan Terletskyi, head of the juvenile prevention department of the Podilskyi district police.

The Odesa police call on parents and all caregivers to pay attention to children, maintain an open dialogue with them, and not ignore even minor warning signs of danger. Joint care is the best prevention.
