On September 27th, in Odesa, at the «Mushlia» concert venue in Shevchenko Park, a true celebration took place — the event «From Phonograph to Smartphone», organized by the Odesa Parks Company in collaboration with community organizations «IT Grandmothers», «Silver Age», and «Golden Mean» as part of the «Planet of Longevity» festival, dedicated to the International Day of Older Persons.
This day was a vivid reminder that age is merely a number, not a state of the soul.
Talented artists amazed the audience with their performances: a catwalk show themed «Senior Style», heartfelt poetry readings, soulful songs that resonated from the heart, and lively dances.
A special highlight was the performance by the strongman Mykola Pasichnyk and his students, who showcased their skills and brought joy to the participants through engaging contests.
The day concluded with a delicious porridge prepared by the strongman himself, who added, as he said, «not only spices but also a prayer — for everyone to be well». This warm event reminded us that true youth lives within us as long as we create, share kindness, learn new things, and support each other. Respecting the elderly is not an end, but rather a beautiful continuation of life, filled with meaning, joy, and love.
