Volunteer Blood Donation in Odesa Amidst War

The team at the Primary Health Care Center No. 16 in Odesa continues to demonstrate its commitment and unity in charitable initiatives during the ongoing war.

On December 17, with the support of the Department of Health of the Odesa City Council, the thirteenth joint blood donation event took place as part of the «Donor Odesa» project.

Under the initiative of the director, Hanna Pavleha, a group of regular donors has been formed within the team, who enthusiastically participate to support our defenders and all those in need of blood transfusions.

Seventeen employees of the Primary Health Care Center No. 16 participated in the blood donation. One donation can save up to three lives.

The daily demand for donor blood has remained extremely high since the beginning of the full-scale war. Thanks to the «Donor Odesa» project, over 14,000 donations have been made, saving thousands of lives of both defenders and civilians.

The City Department of Information and Digital Solutions is continuously working to promote blood donation and inform the public about current needs through the Telegram channel «Odesa.Officially», the mobile app MISTO, and other city media resources.
