Alexander Filatov, the First Deputy Mayor of Odessa, welcomed participants of the V International Scientific and Practical Conference «Innovative Technologies in Urban Planning».

The event took place from October 24 to 26 at the Odessa State Academy of Civil Engineering and Architecture.

In his opening remarks, Alexander Filatov noted that since the onset of the armed aggression by the Russian Federation against Ukraine, the city authorities face pressing issues related to the restoration of destroyed and damaged facilities, many of which are architectural and historical landmarks.

 «However, an equally important task today is the planning of territories and the development of urban planning documentation in light of what they should look like after the end of hostilities. Scientific developments that incorporate the experience of professionals and the implementation of innovative technologies are essential here. I hope the outcomes of this conference will produce materials that aid in the further restoration of our city and country,»  - emphasized the First Deputy Mayor.

The V International Scientific and Practical Conference was organized by the Odessa State Academy of Civil Engineering and Architecture with support from the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, the State Service of Ukraine for Geodesy, Cartography, and Cadastre, the Odessa City Council, and several international universities.
