The ice hockey world championship took place in Hungary from April 20 to 26.

Among the participants was Ilya Bobrov, a talented goalie from the Odessa Youth Sports School «Dzhinistra», representing the Ukraine U18 national team.

The Ukrainian team achieved an impressive second place in the tournament.

Division 1A included 7 teams, with Ukraine's results as follows:

Hungary – Ukraine 1:7;

Ukraine – Denmark 1:5;

Ukraine – Australia 6:3;

Ukraine – Slovenia 7:1;

Kazakhstan – Ukraine 2:3.

The athlete was coached by Ruslan Korop from the Dzhinistra Youth Sports School.

The ice hockey section at KZSPU «Dzhinistra» has 69 young athletes enrolled.
