On May 9th, a major sambo tournament was held in Odessa to honor the memory of the esteemed coach Alexander Adzelenko, president of the regional federation.

Over a hundred athletes from various parts of Ukraine gathered for the event. During the opening ceremony, federation representatives presented drones to military units performing missions at the front. This tournament not only pays tribute to Adzelenko's memory but also supports the development of young talents in sports, promoting sambo as a national sport that combines strength, technique, and character.
