Ukrainian Athletes Shine at the World Muay Thai Championship

The World Muay Thai Championship has concluded in Turkey, featuring competitions in the Wai Kru and Muan Muay categories.

Irina Ladynenko, a coach from the Odessa Comprehensive Children's and Youth Sports School No. 7, reached the finals representing Ukraine.

She performed exceptionally well, outpacing all her competitors to secure first place and earn a license for the upcoming European Games.

Irina also claimed a bronze medal in the S Female Wai Kru division.

Additionally, Valeriy Denysov, a student from the Odessa Comprehensive Children's and Youth Sports School No. 16, won a bronze medal at the World Championship 2025 (Wai Kru category, youth). The athlete was trained by coach Pavlo Yevtushenko.

In the team standings, the national team of Ukraine achieved a commendable second place, securing 6 gold, 3 silver, and 3 bronze medals.
