WTA Final in Nottingham: Yastremska Falls Short

The prestigious WTA tournament final took place in Nottingham, England, featuring Ukrainian tennis player Diana Yastremska. Unfortunately, the athlete could not claim victory.

Yastremska (ranked 49th in the WTA) lost in straight sets to American McCartney Kessler (ranked 42nd).

In the first set, Yastremska lost 4-6, and the second set was even more intense, ending with a score of 5-7 in favor of her opponent.

This marked Yastremska's seventh final appearance at a WTA tournament.

She became the first Ukrainian tennis player to reach finals on all surfaces in WTA tournaments (hard, clay, and grass).

Shortly, Diana will compete at Wimbledon, which begins on June 30.
